GEORGE, 18 August 2026 – FMZ recently visited Tuiniqua Care Centre to hand over a tablet, in partnership with Honor supporting the organisation’s efforts to embrace technology and improve operational efficiency.
The donation forms part of FMZ’s commitment to support local community organisations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. By providing the tablet, FMZ hopes to assist the care centre in reducing its dependence on paper-based processes whilst making information more accessible and secure.
The new device will enable staff to manage records, access important information, and complete administrative tasks more efficiently. Moving towards a paperless environment not only help reduce the risk of documents being misplaced but also allow staff to spend more time focusing on what matters most, caring for residents and ensuring their well-being.
Tuiniqua Care Centre has been serving the elderly community in George for more than four decades. Established in 1985 as a non-profit organisation, the centre was founded with the goal of providing affordable housing and comprehensive care to the elderly, ensuring they experience dignity, comfort, and support during their later years.
Over the years, Tuiniqua Care Centre has grown into a thriving community that caters to varying needs of the elderly. The organisation offers independent living opportunities for those who are still able to live self-reliantly, while also providing a dedicated frail care unit for residents who require more specialised support. This dedication to care allows residents to receive the assistance they need as their circumstances change over time.
At the heart of the organisation is a commitment to enhancing the quality of life of every resident. This dedication is reflected in their mission:
“To provide a holistic, needs-centred continuum [CS1] of services to older persons in the George area, to ensure quality of life for members and peace of mind to stakeholders throughout this unique phase of life.”
FMZ is proud to support an organisation that plays such an important role in the local community. The donation of the tablet is a small but meaningful step towards empowering Tuiniqua Care Centre with digital tools that will enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and support its ongoing mission of providing exceptional care to the elderly.
As technology continues to transform the way organisations operate, partnerships such as these help ensure that community-focused institutions have access to the resources they need to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.
