The ‘Toughest Firefighter Alive’ challenge returned to De Bakke Beach in Mossel Bay, from the 5th to the 7th of October 2023. The Mossel Bay Municipality Fire, Rescue & Safety hosted the event, testing participants’ firefighting skills, fitness, physical and mental strength, and endurance. With over 240 participants from all over the country, firefighters showed up with grit and enthusiasm. Giving their utmost best in each individual and team challenge and motivating each other throughout the weekend with the cold and rainy weather conditions.

FMZ Cellular had a lot of fun and enjoyed being part of such a motivating event. We also had the privilege to sponsor t-shirts & caps – goodie bags to our local Mossel Bay Team. Oppo South Africa also sponsored an Oppo A16s phone as one of the prizes for the person with the best time in the Mossel Bay local team.
FMZ Cellular celebrates the men and women who participated in this event, supporters and children who also played an important role. We hope to see more events like this in the future that build community relationships and motivate more individuals and businesses to support events that strengthen and uplift service delivery.
